Not a lot of precedent when it comes to booting. Texas and OU aint coming.


I think VT should just try its best to get into one of the top tier leagues. Considering B1G and SEC money, the $30-$50 million dollars it would cost to get out of the GOR would be made up for within a few years. I'm sure other ACC schools are thinking the same thing and enough of them leaving would make getting out of the GOR even cheaper.

I do give the ACC about a 33% chance of survival IF both ND and ESPN decide the league is worth saving. Both of those entities would REALLY have to give quite a bit to keep the ACC afloat though. Of course, ND would have to join for football. And of course, ESPN would have to agree to pay close to double what the contract actually requires them to do. They do realize that if they don't, FOX is going to gobble up many of their current properties move into souther states that ESPN currently owns. I would say ESPN's gonna have to cough up $100 million or so to keep the ACC afloat.
